Paul C. Mercer

I was born and raised in Canterbury, and educated for a bit in St Andrews. I’m married, with three grown up children. I write in a shed in a garden in Bromley, South London, England.

I worked for the Ministry of Agriculture, the European Commission, the UK telecoms regulator (OFTEL), and the Financial Services Authority, before writing almost fifty hours of TV drama for the BBC, under my nom de vie of Paul Campbell (the “Mercer” comes from my mum’s side of the family).

I recently experimented with a couple of years as a geography teacher, but have stepped away from that to focus on writing this novel.
